The three profile states
Unclaimed
The profile was assembled from available public or company information. The business has not completed Wholly Canada’s claim process.
Claimed
An authorized representative has completed the claim process and may submit updates. Claimed does not mean every statement has been independently verified.
Verified
Wholly Canada reviewed supporting information for the Canadian claims displayed at the time shown on the profile.
What we may review
Evidence can include official websites, corporate or government records, manufacturing information, credible media coverage, product labels, invoices or other documents appropriate to the specific claim. Sensitive documents should be requested only when necessary and handled carefully.
What Verified does not mean
- It is not a government certification or legal opinion.
- It is not a guarantee of product quality, safety, financial stability or customer satisfaction.
- It does not mean every product is made in Canada.
- It does not remain accurate forever; ownership and operations can change.
Payment and presentation
Paid profiles may receive richer presentation, additional images or clearly marked promotional placement. Those benefits do not change the evidentiary standard. Sponsored placement and verification status are displayed separately.
Ongoing accuracy
Verified profiles show a review date. We may remove or revise the status when evidence becomes outdated, contradictory or incomplete. Businesses and readers can request an update or report an issue.
