Wholly Canada aims to publish useful, accurate and transparent information. We distinguish verified facts from company statements, label commercial relationships and correct material errors openly.
Research and sourcing
Writers should use the most relevant available sources, prioritizing official company information, government records, recognized standards, direct interviews and reputable primary sources. A company’s own claim may be reported as a claim; it is not automatically treated as independently established fact.
Our editorial checklist
- Separate ownership, founding, headquarters, manufacturing and service-area claims.
- Record sources and the date important facts were checked.
- Use original explanations rather than copying company marketing language.
- Give readers enough context to understand limitations and uncertainty.
- Label affiliate links, sponsorships, samples, gifts and other material relationships.
- Invite corrections and update material errors promptly.
Recommendations and rankings
Buying guides may consider Canadian connection, usefulness, availability, product information, customer fit, value and other disclosed criteria. Inclusion is not an endorsement of every product or practice. Unless explicitly stated, Wholly Canada does not independently laboratory-test products.
Editorial independence
Advertisers and sponsors may purchase clearly identified exposure. They cannot purchase verification, remove legitimate criticism, dictate an independent conclusion or guarantee inclusion in an editorial list. Where a sponsor helped fund content, that relationship appears near the content—not hidden on a distant policy page.
Corrections and review
Substantive corrections should be made in the article or profile and, where useful, described in an update note. Minor spelling or formatting edits may be corrected without a note. Read our Corrections Policy or report incorrect information.
