ACCURACY & ACCOUNTABILITY

Corrections Policy

A clear route for businesses and readers to challenge outdated, incomplete or incorrect information.

Last reviewed: September 8, 2026

Tell us what needs attention

Wholly Canada welcomes specific, evidence-based corrections. Please identify the exact profile or article, the statement at issue, your proposed correction and a reliable supporting source.

How we review a correction

  1. Receive: the request enters the editorial review queue.
  2. Assess: we compare the existing statement, submitted evidence and other relevant sources.
  3. Clarify: we may contact the reporter or business for additional information.
  4. Decide: we correct, qualify, remove or retain the information based on the available evidence.
  5. Record: material changes may be noted on the page and reflected in its last-checked date.

Timing and fairness

Urgent errors involving identity, ownership, safety, fraud allegations or serious reputational harm should be prioritized. Other requests are handled as editorial capacity allows. Submitting a request does not guarantee the requested wording will be adopted.

Types of changes

Material factual corrections may receive an update note. Routine spelling, grammar, formatting, broken-link and non-substantive clarity changes may be made without a public note. We do not remove accurate information solely because it is inconvenient or because a business purchases advertising.

Appeals

If you believe evidence was misunderstood, reply with additional primary documentation and ask for a second review. Final editorial decisions remain with Wholly Canada.
